How To Screen Record on a Samsung Galaxy

Here’s how to screen record on a Samsung Galaxy phone.
Follow these simple steps or watch our video below.
- Swipe down from the top and then swipe down again to view your full notifications panel.
- You’ll see a pen icon at the top. Tap that to go into notification panel settings.
- Once you’re there, tap the edit icon under the full tab on the right side where it says available buttons.
- Scroll sideways until you see screen recorder.
- Touch and hold and then drag the screen recorder button into your notification tray.
- Tap done and swipe up to go back to the home screen.
- Repeat the swipe from the top of the screen and another swipe again to get to the full notifications panel.
- You’ll now see screen recorder button you added. Tap that to start a screen recording where you’ll first get options for what sounds you also want to record.
- You’ll then see a 3 second countdown and the recording will start.
- On Samsung phones you’ll get a toolbar on the top right to control the recording.
- Once you’re finished recording tap the stop button on the top right of the screen.
- Swipe down on the home screen and you’ll see a notification for the recording that has been created.
- Tap that notification to open it with your chosen photos app and you’ll have your screen recording ready.
- You can then edit and crop it if needed.
